There are lots of ideas for this week in the arts week ideas attached here. Please don’t feel that you have to stick to these, we are sure that you will have lots of creative ideas of your own. There are also lots of activities and videos on the school website ( children, school videos or St Richard’s Art week ) the staff having been working hard to make this a celebration of art with the theme of HOPE.
We would also love to see some of your creations and have the chance to see the children again before half term so we will have a class Teams meeting at 2:30pm on Thursday.
Mr Field is doing assembly on Monday at 9:15am to introduce Arts week. There is also another assembly on Friday at 2:00pm where the winners of the arts week competition will be announced.
If you are unable to access these meeting please let us know and we will try and help.
This week we will not be giving maths, phonics and RE ideas, if your child wants to carry on with these sorts of activities then they could keep singing the song of sounds song;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48uf9I6P2xQ revise the sounds we have learned so far for phonics and try writing some simple words. The link is here for white rose maths for the week;https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/growing-6-7-8-week-3/ and if you would like to join Mr Field he is leading a whole school liturgy on Wednesday at 9:15am.
As always there is no pressure to do all of the activities that are given, this week is particularly flexible and we hope that as a family you will be able together to make some lovely creations and reflect on the theme of Hope. We look forward to seeing photographs on Tapestry and hanging in the virtual gallery on the school website.
