Dear Year 5 and 6,
Hooray! We are delighted that we will all be back in school together from Monday 8th March. We very much look forward to seeing you all. Remember to bring your work into school, especially your Mexican Myth Writing as we will continue with this this week!
Parents, please do make sure you read emails sent by Parent Mail as they include important information about our return.
We hope you enjoyed 'World Book Day' on Friday. The story videos will remain on the website for this half term. Please see the drop down menu 'Children' on top right of this page and go to 'World Book Day' to view them.
Our topic this half term is 'Hola Mexico'. We are learning about the geography of Mexico, creating maps, learning about the ancient civilisations of the Aztecs and Mayans as well as writing myths and newspaper reports. There will be lots of creative activities too; learning how to draw Cala lilies, making masks and creating stop motion movies.
If you've not seen it already, remember to check out our wonderful gallery of art and poetry for Arts Week. You will find this in the 'Children' drop down menu at the top of this page under 'Gallery'.
Here are a few reminders for you and your parents as we return to school:-
We are always here to support our families so if you are in need in any way, please do get in touch, either by phoning or emailing the school office or via our Year 5/6 email address.
With all our love and prayers,
Mrs Courquin, Mrs Purcell, Mr Barnden & Mr Flaxbeard
Mrs Randall, Mrs Dembinski, Mr Al-Bazoon and Mr Orrell
