All pupils at St Richard's primary are issued with their own Office365 account from the minute they join us. Office 365 gives them access to the full suite of MS office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher which they will find useful during their time with us but also provides them with a way to communicate remotely.
Office 365 was first rolled out to the pupils at St Richard's during the pandemic lockdown early in 2020 as a means of keeping open lines of communication between teachers and their pupils, allowing children to access online lessons, learning resources and assignments. By using Office365 we were able to ensure that our pupils continued to learn while they were away from the physical school building.
Office 365 can be accessed via a mobile smart phone, tablet, desktop PC or laptop using the log in details provided by school. Although children are issued with an email address as part of their access details the email account is actually deactivated so cannot be used.
Within Office365 the children have access to Teams. Teams is where we can share presentations, lessons and work and meet remotely.
To ensure the continued safety of you, your children and our school community we will be hosting parents evenings via your children's Teams this year. You can book your appointment using the usual Parentmail process and then we will contact you at your chosen time via your child's teams account.
Below you will find a guide to help you with parent evening.
